About Monica Brar, MD

Dr. Monica Brar, who joined our staff in the fall of 2004, is well known in the local medical community, having retired from a flourishing obstetrics and gynecology practice. She excelled in her medical training at the Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, where she was a member of the prestigious honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She then pursued the diverse and challenging field of OB-GYN at the esteemed USC Women’s and Children’s Hospital program. After graduation, she relocated to Walnut Creek, received her board certification in OB-GYN, and successfully practiced for eight busy years. During that time, she was one of the most sought-after local OB-GYN physicians, being very well-trained, thorough, dedicated, and compassionate.

When she and Dr. Potozkin started a family of their own, she stepped away from the rigorous demands of OB-GYN. She retrained in Phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of spider and varicose veins, which she successfully practiced for 18 years in this office.

In January of 2022, in the final iteration of her medical career, Dr. Brar transitioned to Laser and Aesthetic Medicine under the guidance of Dr. Potozkin. She brings her same level of caring, attention to detail, and customized care to every patient she treats. The procedures she currently performs include Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments, Fraxel® Dual laser treatments, and Clear + Brilliant® laser treatments, amongst others.
